Jackson County, Swain County and Graham County – all located about 50-70 miles west of Asheville – are some of the few areas in country where you can experience the extremely rare celestial phenomenon. Towns in the direct path will include Sylva, Dillsboro, Cashiers, Bryson City, Cherokee and Robbinsville, with one to two minutes of complete darkness as the moon moves in front of the sun.
