18Feb17 – The Beer Appreciation Special Interest Group of Creston held a Vertical Beer tasting of Porters and Stouts at our Mountain top Community Center.
Brain writes: The 4th (or was it the 5th?) Vertical Beer Tasting event, sponsored by the Creston Beer Appreciation Group (BAG), was held last evening at the Community Center. The focus was on Porters and Stouts and the varieties contributed by those present were extensive and, for the most part, excellent. Delightful munchies of many types were brought by attendees and shared with all. It was the informal consensus that one of the best brews offered was Samuel Smith’s Chocolate Stout from the UK, while it was almost unanimous that the least enjoyable was Burial Beer Company’s Donut Stout; to quote Marshall Fisher, it was “undrinkable.” Nonetheless, yet another good time was had by all!
